The Government of the Republic of the Philippines has secured a loan from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to finance the Metro Manila Priority Bridges Seismic Improvement Project. The Executing Agency is the DPWH. Angel Lazaro & Associates International is one of the associated firms in the Project.
The Project comprises the following components: a) Replacement of Lambingan Bridge in Sta Ana, Manila with vertical geometry improvement of both sides’ approach roads (estimated construction cost is P1.110B) and b) Replacement of outer bridges (2 lanes each) and replacement of substructure including piers and foundation of inner bridge (4 lanes each) of the Guadalupe Bridge in Mandaluyong (estimated construction cost is P1.902B).The scope of work for this project include Detailed Engineering Design, Tender Assistance or Assistance in Bidding Procedures including Prequalification to awarding of contract, and Technology Transfer or Capacity Building for DPWH officers and staff during the project design and contract administration including introduction and training in the application of the recently mandated 2015 DPWH Design Guidelines, Criteria and Specifications (DGCS) and the Bridge Seismic Design Specifications (2013) (BSDS).
